Valhalla Missile Silo December 27-29, 2024

We're thrilled to announce that we've secured the weekend of December 27th-29th for our eagerly awaited trip to the Valhalla Missile Silo in Abilene, TX! Join us for a one-of-a-kind diving experience in an abandoned Cold War-era missile silo, right here in Texas.

This exclusive facility only allows 12 visits each year, and we're excited to be among them in December 2024. Spots for this unique adventure are limited, so sign up now to ensure your place!

The cost for the weekend is $350 per person, which includes:

• Camping and two days of diving (Saturday and Sunday)
•  A commemorative Valhalla t-shirt for first-time divers
• One Free Rental Cylinder
• A free Altitude Diver certification free tank fills (up to 4 fills)
•  A tour of the Valhalla Missile Silo
•  Unlimited diving on Saturday and one dive on Sunday (all participants must be offsite by noon on December 29th)
• Valhalla Swag: Launch Key and Valhalla Patch

Cost does not include transportation, lodging outside the camp site and food.

Given the remote location, accommodations are simple but memorable, with campsites available near windmills under a starry sky. A solar shower is also on-site. If camping isn’t your style, nearby hotels can be booked through popular sites like Google Hotels and Booking.com.

The Texas winter will be in full swing, but inside the silo, temperatures remain 68°F, with water temperatures consistently between 58-60°F year-round. A 5mm wetsuit or warmer is recommended for these dives, where visibility is impressively clear.

We’re offering various certifications at this site, including Deep, Night/Limited Visibility, Wreck (yes, this site qualifies!), and Altitude Diver.

Important reminders:

- Water temps are 58-60°F.
- Be prepared for a lot of stairs with your gear—it's challenging!
- Divers must have all necessary gear. 
- Open Water certification is required.
- Waivers from High Tide Scuba and Valhalla Missile Silo must be completed before entry.
